When users paste a product description from Microsoft Word (or Outlook using Word as it’s editor) into Opencart, we have noticed that the layout footer of the shopping cart web page can become odd and out of shape. This is because of the embedded formatting that is copy pasted into the product description. This appears still to happen even when you choose “paste as plain text” for some odd reason.
The resolution fix for this is to paste the text into Microsoft’s Notepad first. This will strip the formatting from the text. Then, select all the text with CTRL+A, copy the plain text from Notepad back to the clipboard again with CTRL+C, then paste it into your product description.
